Hello and welcome! Here’s some information about me that you might find helpful. I am a graduate in apparel design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Originally from Los Angeles, I attended private schools with an emphasis on the arts, collaboration and independent thinking. My early creative journey began with representational illustration and painting, which eventually felt stifling and confining, so I explored abstract painting. I loved the freedom I found within the process, it allowed me to be emotional, thoughtful, spontaneous and daring. Upon entering RISD, I thought that I'd be studying abstract painting for the next four years. However, during my freshman year and feeling a call, I enrolled in an Introduction to Apparel course. Everything changed after that class: I declared my major as Apparel Design and commenced my college career in a field that I had never intended to study. As someone once inspired by the potential of a blank canvas, I shifted my focus. My canvas became the body, the medium was fabric. My work mimics the techniques and emotions involved in creating an abstract painting by way of draping, sculpting and spontaneous, passionate design. Included in this work was the importance of using up-cycled vintage garments and found materials. I pushed the limits of reuse, adapting and manipulating fabric until it took on a new form, becoming something completely unrecognizable as its initial state.

Following graduation, I was accepted into the CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Program, which included a showcase in NYC in July of 2018. After graduation, I also had the opportunity to show my first collection at NYFW in September, 2018.

Most recently, I worked in WRTW for Tom Ford in Los Angeles. I began as a design assistant, moved my way up to assistant designer and then became a designer. In this role, I collaborated closely with the design team with an emphasis on Tailoring, Outerwear, Leather, and Denim.

This work included a wide exploration of research to allow for new developments, such as: sourcing vintage garments and fabrics for inspiration; conducting fabric, color, fit and wash research for seasonal concepts; executing product and design vision from concept to production; creating and presenting design developments via stylized sketches; developing technical flats and design sheets; managing the sample development process from prototype stage to final samples; documenting and communicating design and fit comments accurately; addressing all garment corrections with factory representatives.
